Project Inception
When I came to Honorbuddy half a year ago, one of the first things that came up in my head were pet battles. I have always been a huge fan of them, but leveling 600+ pets to level 25 is not what I call engaging gameplay. The collector in me wanted to have them all, the completionist in me wanted to have them at level 25 and the lazy ass in me didn't want to do myself.
So I went and checked what is available. Pokehbuddy, PokeLevel, Presto Pets and so on. Many solutions, many great beginnings, but none of them finished or with that toolset I desired. I also had a hard time figuring out how to configure them correctly to get the results I wanted. I was looking for a solution where I just selected a task and the bot did it the best way possible. When I am using Kick's I don't have to tell him which spells to use, why do I have to do it with my pets? That just didn't seem right. And there is so much more to pet leveling going on than simple leveling. There are dailys, there is PvP, there are specific drops to be farmed. I wanted a pet battle bot that did it all!
I started working on Presto_Pets and I believe it was headed in a great direction, but with Prostak disappearing and my changes gathering dust in his SVN I became more and more frustrated. So I started to develop a botbase by myself and I wanted it to be all-encompassing and easy to use. Quite the project for a single guy, but now the pieces are starting to come together.

About the Upcoming Beta Test
This botbase has been in development in private for some time now and I am about to take it to the first bunch of testers in a couple of days. I will do do this release in stages, because I don't want to get bug reports from all over the place. This means I will unlock features as soon as the first features are proven stable. I already have a few people to which I promised a spot in the test, but I still have room left and if you are really into pet battles and you want to help make it better, then you can apply in this thread. I am just saying this upfront: If a beta tester does not contribute, I will remove his beta access, because with the way the store beta works, there are only 20 slots available.
If I could, I would make it a public beta and I still might at a later point. The issue with a public beta is that every new version needs to be approved by Bossland staff members and that takes time. So I can't just push multiple builds a day. That just wouldn't work. As the number of builds tones down, we can discuss a public beta, given that you people are interested. :-)
